The GitterGewitter Dog Guard for the Tesla Model Y has been specially designed to meet the needs of both dog and owner. Its custom-fit design maximizes space in the trunk for your dog and luggage. Unlike traditional dog crates and guards, the GitterGewitter Dog Guard allows unrestricted variability of the rear seats and trunk, while ensuring your four-legged companion travels safely and comfortably.

A folding system allows you to access the Model Y's sub-trunk at any time without removing or dismantling the guard, preserving valuable storage space of about 200 liters. Additionally, the GitterGewitter Dog Guard enables folding down a portion of the rear seat, allowing for the transportation of long items even with a dog on board.

GitterGewitter Edge Protector

Our newly developed edge protector for the Tesla Model Y offers a versatile solution to protect the rear bumper of your vehicle from scratches, dirt, and other damage. Designed with the safety and comfort of your dog in mind, the edge protector not only provides effective protection but also offers additional grip for your dog's paws when entering and exiting. The textured surface ensures a secure grip while your dog enters or exits the trunk, minimizing the risk of slipping on the smooth surfaces of the bumper and plastic linings in the trunk.

Additionally, the edge protector is also ideal as a base for a dog staircase or ramp, making it easier for older or restricted dogs to access the trunk. It can also serve as protection for the bumper, allowing shopping carts to lean against the edge protector when loading and unloading without damaging the Model Y's paint.

Made of durable, fiber-reinforced EVA rigid foam with a thickness of 4 mm, the edge protector offers a durable and resilient solution. Moin Moin, das ist mit Sicherheit die beste Hundebox, die man für das Model Y bekommen kann. Funktioniert perfekt und war in angemessener Zeit einzubauen. 2-3 Verbesserungsvorschläge: Das hintere kleine Schutzgitter hinter den Kopfstützen ist ziemlich fummelig anzubauen. Ich schlage am Befestigungspunkt eine zusätzliche Vertikalstrebe vor und ich würde die Schrauben an dem kleinen Gitter selbst als Bolzen anschweißen und diese dann durch die beiden Löcher des Hauptgitters fädeln und mit einer Mutter kontern. Das Loch bitte mit einer Hülse verstärken. Das erleichtert das Einfädeln erheblich. Das wäre viel einfacher, als die beiden Schrauben ohne Sicht im Kofferraum liegend durch die Löcher zu pfriemeln. Zumal aufgrund der fehlenden Vertikalstrebe und des fehlenden Senktrichters an der Schraubenaufnahme die beiden Löcher nicht "flutschen und nicht fluchten" Eine kleine Bohrschablone aus Papier oder Pappe für die Bohrarbeiten am Boden wäre super. Alle Schrauben gleich groß und mit dem selben Bit zu bedienen wäre auch super. Es waren glaube ich 3 unterschiedliche. Die beiden Aufnahmen im Boden habe ich mit etwas Stoff ausgekleidet, dann klappert auch nichts. Die ab Werk zu gummieren wäre natürlich top. Aber alles jammern auf hohem Niveau. Hat ja auch so geklappt und er Hund ist glücklich.
